HELP US RE-IGNITE THE SOUNDS OF THE 1970'S

What is SW Songs and Publishing? It is the song writing vehicle for Singaporean-born Wendy Liew and Sydney-born Scott Williams.

We write for a number of different genres, however our primary focus is Pop, Adult Contemporary and Country.

There are 2 CD releases in our catalogue, being "SW Songs and Publishing" [issued in 2006] http://cdbaby.com/cd/liewwilliams and "SW Songs and Publishing II" [2008] http://cdbaby.com/cd/liewwilliams2 . We are presently recording a third release, to be issued in 2010.

Whilst we are essentially non-performing songwriters, our recorded versions of our compositions have gained encouraging sales in the USA, Europe, Asia and our present homeland of Australia. Our 2008 CD has out-sold our first release, and we believe that our impending third release contains our strongest material to date.

What makes SW Songs and Publishing stand out from all the other up-and coming songwriters? We are both children of the 1970's, thus we grew up listening to great songs with original melodies, meaningful lyrics, quality arrangements and perfect vocal harmonies. This source of inspiration has never left us, thus so much of our self-penned material is influenced by this decade.

We are passionate about music in general, however modern music tends to be top-heavy in studio gimmickry and personality promotion. The art of song writing appears to have been lost in recent decades, thus we continue to be fully focussed on writing and recording songs which hark back to an era when song structure and arrangement was of full importance.
